These red lacquered miso soup bowls are hand painted, beautifully done and has a wonderful texture in contrast to the smooth lacquer. It is simple in form and quite lovely. They measures 4 3/4″ across and is about 3 1/4 tall with its lid on. They are great bowls for miso soup or even for eating ice cream or yogurt.
There is normal wear for the age, but in great shape. They are still a functional bowls, however, like all lacquerware it requires some special treatment. Lacquerware and is neither dish-washer nor microwave safe. It needs to be washed and dried soon after use, and cannot be left soaking in water.
