Pair of Heavy Antique Gilded Wall Sconce Ornate Candle Holder Candelabra Silver Composite
So I took it to the “experts” to fins out what is was made out of and this is what I got, “Definitely part of it is silver”, “It is cast iron”, “It is gilt silver”, “It is bronze”, and one “I don’t know”. How that many experts could all come up with something different, not sure. All I know is it is heavy and a magnet does not stick to it, but does kinda stick to it. None of my magnets held to it without falling off. It is a silver composite of some sort. The sconce measures about 15″ long and it comes out about 6-7″.
A set of two silver gilt richly carved wall sconces circa 1920s (i think) each with two arms with foliate carved detailing can take candles or be electrified in lovely original condition.
