These tables are made from trees that Hurricane Sandy took down. So there was no unnatural deforesting that went into the wood from these trees completely salvaged wood. These trees are incredibly old and rich with age. Insurance would not pay for the clean up on the property, so my Dad started making tables out of the tress that fell. He has always believed in using trees that have been taken down by nature, rather than cutting good trees down for his projects. We wanted to preserve the wood and turn it into something useful, with minimal alterations to the wood. We designed simple tables by taking cross sections of the wood. The tables are all reinforced with metal through them, to be nice and sturdy. The can by customized to any size.
